COMPOSITION:
Each capsule / 5ml syrup contains :
Oxomemazine 1.65mg + Guaifenesine 33.3mg Paracetamol 33.3mg + Sodium benzoate 33.3mg
PROPERTIES:
-ORAPECT combines the antihistaminic and sedative effects ofoxomema-zine with the analgesic and antipyretic effects of paracetamol, and selected expectorant effect ofguaifenesine.
-ORAPECT relieves the congestive symptoms that accompany with cough .
INDICATIONS:
-ORAPECT is used in the treatment of:
All kinds of cough partially allergic and dry cough. The relief of symptoms associated with cold and influenza .
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
- Hypersensitivity to one of the components
- Hepatic failure
- Pregnancy
- ChiTdren under one year.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Dry mouth, nausea, constipation, drowsiness, skin rashes
PRECAUTIONS:
- Avoid alcohlic drink
- Patients should not drive or operate machinery
DRUG INTERACTIONS:
ORAPECT increases the effects of other central nervous system depressants such as hypnotics, sedatives, central analgesics or antidepressants .
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Syrup :
Adults : 1 - 2 spoonfuls (5ml) 4 times daily
Children : 1-6 years : 1 teaspoonful 2-3 times daily
6-10 years: 2 spoonfuls (5ml) 2-3 times daily 10-12 years : 2 spoonfuls (5ml) 3-4 times daily
Capsule :
Adults : 1 - 2 capsules 2-3 times daily .
PACKING:
Boxes of 20 capsules.
Bottles of 100ml syrup.
