Composition:
Each tablet contains :
Paracetamol 325 mg
Phenyl ephrine hydrochloric! 5 mg
Chlorpheniramine maleat 2 mg
Properties:
Newcidine Tablets contain the analgesic and antipyretic action of paracetamol together with the decongestant action ofphenyl ephrine and with the antihista-mine, action of Chlorpheniramine.
Indications:
Newcidine is used for the relief of the symptoms associated with cold, influenza and rhinitis.
Contraindications:
* Hypersensitivity to one of the constituents.
* Pregnancy.
* Children under 12 years .
* Renal and hepatic failure.
Side effects:
Skin rashes, dizziness, palpitation, drowsiness, dry mouth .
Precautions:
* May cause drowsiness, if affected do not driver or operate machinery.
* Avoid alcoholic drink.
* Do not exceed the recommended dose .
* It should be used with caution in patients with hyperthyroidism, hypertension. prostatic hyperplasia, closed - angle glaucoma.
Drug interactions:
* Newcidine treatment should not be used during treatment with MAOIS or for two weeks after completion of therapy.
* Newcidine may enhance the sedative effects of central nervous system depre-ssants ( hypnotic, alcohol, sedatives ).
Dosage and administration:
Adults : 1-4 tablets daily |
