Composition: BARKABROMIDE is METCLOPRAMIDE Hcl. Each 5 ml. of the syrup contains: 5 mg. of the drug. Properties: BARKABROMIDE enhances the tone of the lower oesophgeal sphincter and increases the contrctability of the antrun and relaxes the pylosus and duodenum, thus it accelerates gastric secretion. Indications: 1- Nausea and vomiting originating from: intolerance to some drugs: i.e. antibiotics, digitalis, - post anesthesia and surgery -acidosis and urenia - x ray therapy or exposure - cance chemotherapy. 2- Motility disorders of the alimentary tract i.e.: pyloric spasm, biliary dyskinesia and, lithiasis flatulance dyspeptic syndrome, liver cirrhosis. 3- Gastroeterology: Gastritis, oesophagitis, peptic ulcer, post gastrectomy and chalecystectomy. 4-Migraine. 5-Hiccup. Caution: BARKABROMIDE should be used with caution in patients with sever renal failure. Side effects: Extrapyramidal effects, drowsiness, dizziness, anxiety, diarrhea. Contra indications: Epilepsy, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, mechanical obstruction or perforation. Dosage: Adults: 1-2 spoons, 3-4 times daily. Children 0.25 mg/kg daily or 1/2-1 spoons 3-4 times daily. S. note: Doses should be given 1/2 hour before meals. Presentations: Bottles of 100 ml. syrup. |
