PARACETAMOL BARAKAT is a well known substance for it's analgesic and antipyretic
COMPOSITION:
Each 5 ml syrup contains 120mg paracetamol.
Each 1 ml (20 drops) of drops contains 1 OOmg paracetamol.
Each tablet contains 500mg paracetamol.
Each supp. for Infants contains 125mg paracetamol .
Each supp. for children contains 250mg paracetamol.
Each supp. for adults contains 500mg paracetamol.
PROPERTIES:
Paracetamol is an analgesic as it elevates the pain threshold, and an antipyretic as it acts on the tempreture regulating center in the hypothalamus . It can be given during pregnancy . It does not have any gastric side-effects .
INDICATIONS:
Paracetamol is used as an analgesic and an antipyretic in cases of common cold headache, upper respiratory tract infections, otitis media, tonsillitis, toothache, and rheumatic originated pain.
PRECAUTIONS:
The daily dose should not exceed 4 grams daily .
SIDE EFFECTS:
In very rare cases few dermatological allergic reactions have been noticed, these symtomps soon disappeare on reducing or stopping the dose.
CONTRA INDICATIONS:
Severe hepatic or, and, renal failure .
DOSAGES:
Infants up to 1 year 60mg 3-4 times daily.
Children 1 - 5 years 200mg 3-4 times daily .
Children 5 - 12 years 250 - 500mg 2 - 3 times daily.
Children over 12 years and Adults 500 – l000 mg 3 - 4 times daily.
PRESENTATION:
Syrop : Bottels of 10 ml.
Drops : Bottels of 15 ml.
Tablets : Boxes of 20 tabs, 500 tabs.
Supp. : For inf. boxes of 10
supp. For child, boxes of 10
