INDOMETHACIN IS A PRODUCT OF THE NON- STEROIDAL ANTI-INFLAMMATORY DRUGS (NSAD) GROUP.
COMPOSITION:
Each suppository contains : lOOmg Indomethacine .
PROPERTIES:
Indomethacine is considered one of the most effective (NSADs) and the first by discovery . All this group acts on prostaglandin there by reducing inflammation and odema relieving pain, and lowering hight temperature .
INDICATIONS:
Indomethacine is given in cases of:
Chronic polyarthritis , arthrosis deformations, spondylitis ankylosing, muscular arthritis , gout, lumbago, rheumatic pain, inflammation and odema ,and as an antipyretic and an analgesic.
PRECAUTIONS:
Indomethacine is used with care in patients with renal failure, and in patients showing bronchial spasm when using salicylate, also when prescribed conc-omitanuy with antihypertensives and diuretics.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Very rarely cases ofdrawsiness, headache, dyspepsia, dermatological reaction and thrombocytopenia.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Active gastric and duodenal ulcers, rectal inflammation, pregnancy and lactation, children under 2 years, as for children between 2-14 treatment should be strictly under medical supervision.
DOSAGE :
1-3 Suppositories daily or as prescribed by the physician.
