COMPOSITION : Each suppository contains: 12.5mg didofenac sodium. Each suppository contains: 25mg didofenac sodium. Each suppository contains: 100 mg didofenac sodium. Each Ent. ctd. tablets contains: 50 mg / 25mg didofenac sodium. PROPERTIES: DICLOBAR, a phenylacetic acid derivative is a Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent, it has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic properties, and it is an inhibitor of cydoxygenase, which results in the inhibition of the prostaglandin synthesis. INDICATIONS: * DICLOBAR is used for the relief of pain and inflammatory disorders such as: osteoa-rthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, pen-articular disorders such as: tendinitis, sprains and strains and other pain conditions such as: renal colic, acute gout, dysmenorrhoea and post operative pain. * DICLOBAR is used tor temporary reduction of fever. CONTRAINDICATIONS: * Active peptic ulceration. * Hypersensitivity to aspirin or to other Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents. * Pregnancy. SIDE EFFECTS: nausea, vomiting, bleeding, ulceration ofgastrointestinal tract, skin rashes, headache, dizziness, bronchospasm, and local irritation and rarely renal damage. PRECAUTIONS: * DICLOBAR should be used with caution in patients with asthma, bleeding disorders and liver or renal failure. * The concomitant use of more than one NSAID should be avoided because of the incr¬eased risk of adversed effects. DRUG INTERACTIONS: * DICLOBAR increases the plasma concentrations of digoxin * DICLOBAR reduces the effects of diuretics. * Care is required in those who are receiving cun-iarin anticoagulants because DICLOBAR'increases the effects. DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Children 1-12 years: 1 -3 mg per kg body weight daily in divided doses. Adults: Generaly 100 - 150mg daily in 2 - 3 doses. Note: Tablets of enteric coating should be swallowed as a whole without chewing. PRESENTATION : Boxes of 10 suppositories of 12.5mg. Boxes of 10,6 suppositories of 25mg. Boxes of 10,6 suppositories of 100mg. Boxes of 30 Ent ctd. tablets of 50mg7 25mg.
