COMPOSITION:
BARAVIT is the association of indomethacin ( NSAI ), and Vit. Bl. Each capsule contains:
Indomethacin 25mg Vit. Bl 50mg
PROPERTIES:
BARAVIT combines the anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties of indomethacin with the neurological pain analgesic properties of Vit. Bl .
INDICATIONS:
BARAVIT is used in cases of:
1- Acute and chronic rheumated arthritis.
2- Rheumatic arthritis.
3- Lower - back pain - joint pains .
4- Skeletal joints inflammation .
5- Gout - acute & chronic, dysmenorrhea, fever.
6- Neuralgia.
7- Post operative and dental pain and inflammation.
PRECAUTIONS:
BARAVIT is given with caution to elderly patients . It is advised not to prescribe BARAVIT in association with aspirin and its derivatives, deflonizal, anti-coagulents, probenecid, methotrexat, lithium compounds, it also reduces the activity of diuretics and? blockers.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Rarely cases of: headache, depression, mental distortion, vertigo, anxiety . intestinal bleeding, skin reactions, agranulocytosis.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Pregnancy, lactation, children under twelve, mental patients, bacterial infections, gastric and duodenal ulcers.
DOSAGE:
BARAVIT is used to the equivalent of 50 - lOOmg of indomethacin per day i.e. 2-4 caps. daily.
NOTES:
BARAVIT should be taken after meals, and preferably as prescribed by the physician.
