INDICATIONS: 1 -Upper and lower resiratory tract infections such as, otitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, throat and nose infections. 2-Urogenital tract infections such as urethritis, cystitis, pyelonephritis, prestatitis. 3-Skin and soft tissue infections. 4-Bone and joint infections. 5-As prophylaxis of bacterial endocarditis or abscess after minor surgery such as tonsillectomy, tooth extraction as well as those who have changed their heart valves . CONTRAINDICATIONS: AOXIPEN is not given to individuals who have previous penicillin or cephalosporin allergy. SIDE EFFECTS: AMOXIPEN is well tolerated, and side effects - are few - and less frequent in oral than parenteral AMOXIPEN therapy, and are usually of a mild transitory nature . Such eruptions, urticaria, nausea, diarrhea, jaundice and indigestion . But these undesirable symptoms are with drawn after the discontinuation of treatment. DOSAGE: Children : 250mg/5ml Dry powder for Suspension : 1 month to 2 years : 1/2 - f spoonful every 8 hrs. or according to severity of the infection . 2 years to 10 years : 1 - 2 spoonful every 8 hrs. or according to severity of the infection. Adults : AMOXIPEN 500 capsules. 1 - 2 capsules every 8 hrs. according to the severity of infection . PRESENTATION: Pack of 20 capsules . |
